Providian Medical’s Ultrasound Review
Simply put, SonoSite portable ultrasound machines are designed for quick, easy procedures where image, speed, and ease-of-use are the primary concerns. The SonoSite MicroMaxx, along with other SonoSite portable ultrasounds, is essentially a no-frills, get-the-job done portable machine. It’s most often found in situations where physicians are doing the scanning themselves, using it as a visual tool to confirm a diagnosis, guide a needle, or to look at tissue.

The MicroMaxx is one of the most popular portable ultrasound machines on the market today and continues to be one of our top-selling portable ultrasound machines.

SonoSite MicroMaxx Ultrasound TrainingPart 1 of our SonoSite MicroMaxx training series covers much of what you need to know to understand the layout and functions of the MicroMaxx ultrasound machine.

This is the best place to start if you’re looking for a tour of the controls and how to begin scanning immediately.

Subsequent videos cover Doppler modes, patient exams, exporting. and system setup.

This is one among many of our videos in our Ultrasound Machine Training library.

Step 2: 2D Imaging/Optimization

This chapter introduces you to scanning and how to use the various functions for image optimization on the MicroMaxx ultrasound machine.

You’ll learn how to begin an exam and how to operate the various functions for adjusting and improving your image.

Step 3: Annotation/Saving

Part 3 involves annotating images and the various ways to save images to Compact Flash memory on the MicroMaxx ultrasound machine.

Step 4: Doppler Modes

Learn Doppler modes including Color, Power and PW Doppler.

Step 5: System Setup

Part 5 reviews the system setup and customization of the MicroMaxx While there aren’t a lot of customizations available, some find that changing a parameter as simple as the dynamic range can help clean up the image enough to keep it as a preset setting.
