Although it is designed for the urology market, the V2 is also popular for OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, MSK, small parts and other modalities. SonoBiometry automatically performs key fetal measurements, AutoIMT automates the intima-media thickness for fast carotid exams, and the Coded Harmonics, Speckle Reduction and CrossXBeam technologies make the V2 a solid general radiology portable ultrasound.

The V2 represents a new wave in portable ultrasound machines from GE. It has an improved user interface with more keys available in the “home” area of the keyboard (around the trackball). Most notably the additions of SonoBiometry and Scan Assistant make the GE Logiq V2 more advanced than other portable ultrasound machines from GE, as it has included features previously available only on GE’s higher-end console Logiq ultrasound machines. On its release, the V2 was available only for the urology market in the US and may be sold into other markets at a later date.
