Product Highlights

The used GE Logiq S7 Pro/Expert ultrasound machines are the mid-range options in GE’s “Signature” series of compact, lightweight ultrasound systems.

The refurbished GE Logiq S7 is available in Pro and Expert models. Both include some of GE’s high-end imaging technologies such as Elastography, Flow Quantification, contrast imaging, volume imaging, SRI-HD, CrossXBeam and Scan Assistant. It has a 19″ LCD display on a fully articulating arm and hight-and-swivel adjustable user interface.

Optional features make this a shared service ultrasound machine with cardiac and stress echo modules. Volume obstetrical 3D/4D is also available as an option. The Expert model runs extra transducers and has a height-adjustable keyboard.

Recent versions of the Logiq S7 include XDClear transducers and technologies, which improve imaging for applications such as abdominal, musculoskeletal, small parts, breast, vascular, OB/GYN, cardiology, pediatrics, urology and others.

Logiq S7 systems with XD Clear offers both a wide variety of E-Series (Logiq Expert series) and a XDclear probes, as well as specialty probes for interventional and pediatrics

Providian Medical Expert Ultrasound Review

If there was such thing as a mid-range of mid-range ultrasounds, this would be it. The S7 is the mid-range level of GE’s S-Series of ultrasounds, and the S-Series ultrasounds are the mid-range versions of GE’s Logiq series of ultrasound machines. The Logiq S7 mixes a nice variety of options, performance, and price-point, creating an affordable semi-advanced ultrasound platform.

Q: What is the "S-series" of GE ultrasound machines?

A: The Logiq S-series, such as the GE Logiq S7 Pro and S7 Expert, is in GE's "Signature" series of ultrasound machines. It's designed as a mid-range ultrasound machine with high image resolution, but is smaller and at a lower price than the GE "E-Series", Expert series of ultrasound systems.

Q: Is 4D available on the Logiq S7?

A: Yes, 3D/4D is available as a software and hardware upgrade to the S7. Many refurbished models may not need the upgrade.

Q: What is CrossXBeam?

A: CrossXBeam is also known as compound imaging. It allows the ultrasound transducer to see from multiple lines of site at different angles, as opposed to the standard line-of-site that's perpendicular to the transducer lens.

Q: What is SRI-HD Speckle Reduction Imaging?

A: Speckle Reduction Imaging HD on the Logiq S7 is an advanced version of GE's SRI software. SRI uses a special software algorithm to identify body tissue and eliminate artifact. The result provides a clearer image with reduced artifact (speckle).

Q: What is BT10, BT11, BT12, on GE ultrasound machines?

A: This is GE's version of a software level. The "BT" stands for Breakthrough and the "0x" typically represents the year it was released.

Q: What is Scan Assistant?

A: The Scan Assitant on GE Ultrasound machines reduces scan time by automatically stepping the user through the steps of an exam. In doing so, it has shown to eliminate up to 78% of keystrokes. General Electric’s Scan Assistant initiates and completes required measurements, automatically steers color Doppler, sets up imaging controls and modes, inserts comments, and automatically re-orders images based on the user’s preference.

Q: Can I connect the GE Logiq S7 to my network to store my images or send them to a radiologist for review?

A: Yes, it has full network capabilities, however, you'll need to let your Providian Medical representative know in advance that you'll need DICOM if you want to send your images to a PACS system or radiologist for review.

Q: Does Providian offer any service contracts with the purchase of the Logiq S7?

A: Providian Medical Field Service offers 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- or 5-year service contracts with the purchase of the Logiq S7. We provide discounts for multi-year service contracts. A refurbished Logiq S7 from Providian qualifies for OEM service through the manufacturer as well.

A: If you are interested in receiving the GE Logiq S7 ultrasound manual, please contact us today. Providian Medical has a large inventory of owner's manuals and brochures.

A: Providian Medical can ship ultrasound systems internationally with proper insurance. Providian does abide by all trade laws and is restricted in some instances from shipping the GE Logiq S7 to certain countries. Contact us today for more information.
