And for the final segment of the Q5 training video we’ll go over utility system settings and custom imaging presets.
To get in the utilities we’ll press this wrench icon. Here we’ll enter the name of the facility, choose some things about the keyboard, and there’s a lot of tabs up here that we’ll go through.
Set the date and time, your region, the language. Image option, do you want the TGC curve to always show up when you’re scanning. Here, we talked about fast storage in a previous movie where if I hit the Save Cini, it will save the images as it’s going along. Instead of going back to Cine Review to save a live clip, you would press this. And this is going to tell you, will you want to save it three seconds, five seconds, 10 seconds, customize, where you can put your own time in, or manual where you’ll simply hit the start and stop?
When you save it do you want it to go directly to removable media. And would you like a screen-saver? And your color map, what color would you like to change that color map to. Next we have some keyboard functions. If you have a foot switch connected, what would you like it to do? What you want to print key to do? This print key will allow you to print to a thermal black and white printer, which is video print. Or PC print which will send it to a USB-style desktop printer.
Trackball sensitivity, PC print selection, do you want the whole screen, with all the information up top, or do you just want the picture that’s on screen? What size you want that video print to show up? 800 by 600. 640 by 40. Here’s where we’ll make any measurement adjustments.
Your standard calculations for the various presets we have in there. Remember when we went through measurements I used this menu to flip through them. This is where we would set those. General, how do you want to make your area measurement, ellipse or trace? How many heart rate cycles you want to use, and various measurements, units, how you want that displayed, millimeters, centimeters, et cetera.
What OB tables did you want to use for various measurements for obstetrics. Comments, your search options for the comments. How do you want it to appear on screen. And here’s where you would adjust your library.
Report, this is where you would edit what you want on the report. Here all the sections that you can add or remove. You can add all, add single ones by clicking this ad, or delete, meaning, move them from here to there. It won’t delete those forever. You can just click delete and it will move to this. These are the ones that will show up on the report.
And you can choose what fields you want, how you want to the fields to appear, columns and rows. This is the space around the top, bottom, left, and right. Here’s where we can choose the type of report. And here’s where we can add our own templates. This is beyond the scope of this training. General information, you can set your logo, and how you want the image layout.
When we showed the reports, we can show– do we want three on a row, two on a row, one on a row, four on a row, et cetera. You would click save to save those changes. Dicom settings are beyond the scope of this training, but this is where your IT professional would enter various information such as the service, alias and the name, the AE title, et cetera. This is where your IT professional would answer information about your network when you connect it. Preset, allows me to change the custom user defined presets here where I can modify the name or the type of preset. You can also export these presets, so they’re easier to find. So you can import them on another machine if you have them on a USB disk.
If I messed it all up and I don’t like what I did, I can click reset and we’ll go back to the factory settings. System takes me to the system information about the screen. I can add or remove printers here. Change the brightness of the display. And these are all items, you would use for a service engineer if you have an issue with the system. And that concludes the training on the Chison Q5 portable ultrasound system. Thank you for watching.

Hello Dr-Sawsan Al_Musawa,
There may be a battery inside the system that needs to be replaced. Please contact the service department of the company from which you purchased the machine. You may need to send it in to get the battery replaced.
