The United States space agency, NASA, is now considering portable UltraSound machines to be essential for physician-conducted physical examinations of astronauts. A number of portable UltraSound machines being considered by NASA all need to have the following specifications: low weight, compact, minimal power consumption, highly efficient, and be sturdy enough to handle space travel.
